  • I miss you already....

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! If you are Irish, enjoy the party; if not, neither was he, so have a ball anyway.

It's been a fairly relaxing day. I did some laundry, cleaned my room, took a few naps, and got a few things ready for tomorrow. The team left this morning about 7:30. Those Vermont people were pretty awesome. They kind of grow on you after awhile, Salmon and all.

This week should be pretty chill. There is a team coming in from Arkansas on Monday night late. They leave early Wednesday morning. Other than that nothing too out of the ordinary.

I am working on a title for the book I am writing. Any ideas? A few that were mentioned this week were The Crap I Eat and Who You'd Be Today. I know we have thought about it before, but I can't remember.

Ok I am off to get something to eat. Sleep well people. Talk to you soon.

  • Fast Forward

I just got back from Florida. I am tired. End of story.

Ok actually it's not. I am waiting on a team to get into town, and we loose an hour of sleep tonight. I am gonna look stoned tomorrow  I guess I will fit in.

Don't forget to set your clocks forward an hour.

  • End of a Hero?

    Say it ain't so Cap.....

  • Lunchtime post

Ok I just finished teaching Bible Study. It went pretty well I guess. Crowd was down today being the first of the month. All in all it went fine though.

Nothing too big to report on this end. I've been really tired lately. I am working on trying to get some rest. Last night I didn't sleep too well. Such is life.

We have a team from Vermont coming in on Saturday. I may try and run down to see my dad on Thursday, since it will be a while before I can get back down there.

Hope you all are well. Drop me a line when you get a chance.

  • Magical

I went to the park today. It was awesome. It was hard to believe how peaceful it was. I need to do that more often.

  • Fair

I'm hungry. I think I am going to Wendy's to get something to eat.

Oh an the Fair is in town. Is that how you spell that Fair? Anyways I was thinking about the 6 who came from Gville back a few years ago, how Bennet rode the ferris wheel and she never had before. We ate at Wendy's then too. Fun times.

  • Eclipse

There is a total lunar eclipse tonight. Make sure to check it out.

  • Communication.....

I'm sorry I have neglected you Xanga. I haven't posted as much as usual. In an effort to remedy that, and keep with my New Years Resolution about communicating to others, here it is...My Currents.

Current Outfit: I am wearing jeans and a white t-shirt with a tan knitted hoodie I got in Nawlins.

Current Mood: Happy. I was just hanging out with Patrick. He always makes me laugh.

Current Appreciation: Mike McDaniel. Yesterday was his birthday. I always love hanging out with him. We can always be real with each other.

Current Fear: Relationships. The last person I talked to about one didn't feel the same way. Once burnt, twice shy.

Current Worry: The AMEX bill. I know I am going to hear about it.

Current Thought: I really don't like myself outside of Jesus

Current Hope: Going to Alaska this year and making a detour to the artic circle.

    Current Joy: Building new relationships.

Current Family Update: Rachel made it back from Amsterdam. I haven't talked to her yet, but I know she had a great time.

Current Life Lesson: Discipline is good, but only if you know where and when to apply it.

Current Truth: My access to God has nothing to do with me, and it never will.

Current CD: My ipod is on Cindy Morgan....OK I know it's old school, but she's got a voice.

Current Trip: I am in Atlanta for a bit. I want to do a road trip when I leave though. Anyone want to go?

Current Food: Just ate some Chick-Fil-A

Current Book: I am re-reading the normal christian life. Seriously, everyone should read this book.

Ok just some currents in this ocean of my mind. :)

  • At the beginning of our Christian life we are concerned with our doing, not our being; we are distressed rather by what we have done that by what we are. We think that if only we could rectify certain things we should be good Christians, and we set out therefore to change our actions. But the result is not what we expected. We discover to our dismay that it is something more than just a case of trouble on the outside- that there is in fact more serious trouble on the inside. We try to please the Lord, but find something within that does not want to please him. We try to be humble, but there is something in our very being that refuses to be humble. We try to be loving, but inside we feel most unloving. We smile and try to look very gracious, but inwardly we feel decidedly ungracious. The more we try to rectify matters on the outside, the more we realize how deep-seated is the trouble. Then we come to the Lord and say, "Lord, I see it now! Not only what I have done is wrong; I am wrong."  -Watchman Nee The Normal Christian Life

How deep do the cuts run? This is how deep the healing must run, and further still until the whole being is made new.
