  • If Everyone...

"If everyone is thinking alike, then someone isn't thinking." -George S. Patton

  • On the road again....

Ok I am off to make a quick trip up to North Carolina to load up a truck with blankets, then back through South Carolina to eat lunch with my Aunt. Quick trip. Man it's early.

  • Friday the 13th

    sad-2

How long can you look at something like this and not do anything about it?

In other news, having absolutely nothing to do with this, but it is Friday the 13th.

  • The fight within...

Lately I have been faced with a few things that have been hard to deal with. Grant put the best words to it today in being emotionally draining. It has just been a time where things seem to weigh heavy, especially in my study and prayer time. It is hard to explain and harder to understand. I'm there, going through it, but I don't think I can accurately convey it to you. Of course, when have I ever been able to be understood.

I've been studying for Bible study tomorrow, and researching reconciliation. This word and it's definition is huge. It actually means at least 5 different things in the New Testament. The one that I am most affected by in my thinking is atonement, the work of Christ, His Blood, and the work of the cross. I know it is central to faith in Jesus, that it is what God sees when He looks at His children. I don't think we really grasp the full effect of that work, of what Christ did. I spend time studying and I am just kind of numb when I take a break.

How God sees us is a good thing to know. If we are to trust Him and His word, then we have to believe what He says is true. Nee said the blood is primarily for God, that it wholly satisfies His standard of Righteousness and saves us from His wrath. It is secondly for us, that we trust in His work to forgive us of our sins and deliver us from our sin, and thirdly as a covering from Satan and his accusations

I wonder how we would live our lives if we really believed that. Maybe that is where Paul says "it is no longer I, but Christ that lives in me."

  • Beautiful

I need you like the rain

Jesus, come to me and sing again

I long for your love so much

    I've wanted your pure touch

    You are Beautiful

I need you to be here

Come to me I can feel you near

I love You, You are my hope

You love me as Your own

    You are Beautiful

  • Tonight

I went to Kroger to grab a few things tonight, and ended up getting some Murray Peanutbutter Cremes. I used to eat those as a kid with milk. It is one of my all time favorite desserts, sort of a comfort food really. I came back to the church, watched the sun set, and then got a cup of milk and some cookies. You take the cookies, hold them under the milk till they get mushy, and down the hatch they go. Good stuff.

I got some good advice from my friend Jamie today. At least I think it is good advice. I suppose time always tells.

It's not my responsibility to convict other people of sin. It is my responsibility to let God deal with the sin in my life.

"I love you like only little children love pennies" -Alan Jackson

To be free from the fear of death is not the biggest fear. We all have to die. It is a fact. Christ overcame death though. Once we die, we are free from the fear of man. That is the fear that we often let control our life. That is the biggest fear.

"The price of victory is high, but so are the rewards." Paul "Bear" Bryant

The more the light of Christ shines in you, the more you see the need for Him to save you. This is part of the eternal work of the cross.

  • Hello, my name is...

Do you like the title? I always like those badges you have to wear when you go. It's like telling people your name is going to let them know who you are. All it really does is give you a way to open communication with them. There are  lot of ways you could go with that.

I kind of like the statement Jesus makes "I am." No apologies about it, He is God.

This could be a really good week. I could also be bad. Mostly it will depend on how I look at it and how I react to it.

Someone told me the other day that it was sad that no one knows the real me.

I really enjoy time with family.

There are only a few people I trust enough to open my life to. The reason I do this is because I believe they have my best interest at heart, and they are open to the mind of Christ. If I don't appear to trust you, it doesn't mean I don't believe this about you. I am just examining how you care for my life.

I am not a very social person. I like people, I just don't prefer to do the stuff they do. I think that is ok. That's why everyone is different. We don't have to be the same.

Sometimes the greatest defense is the simplest offense. Sometimes the simplest offense causes you to form a great defense.

    Ok the morning comes early.
